Travel Information and Rates
Silver King Lodge is located on the east
coast of Costa Rica on the Rio Colorado River, in the ecologically
sensitive wild life preserve known as Barra del Colorado. This new
deluxe sport fishing lodge is situated in the midst of a tropical rain
forest where wildlife abounds.
You will fly from your country of origin to San Jose, the capital of
Costa Rica. Then take a short 30 minute flight to the lodge. |

Although Tarpon and Snook, as well as many other
offshore species, can be caught year around, heavy rains during
certain months make fishing more difficult and less enjoyable. SKL has
decided to remain closed during July, August and December (the wettest
months) to insure our guest fish only the most productive and more
pleasant times. January thru June are popular times for fishing as well
as September, October and November. The later three offering
exceptional Giant Tarpon action with plenty of 100 Lb. plus fish
available. |

RATES INFORMATION All single fishermen will
receive the double occupancy rate, if they are willing to share a room
and a boat when necessary, if not a 25% surcharge will apply. OFFSHORE
FISHING Is available for all fishing packages at NO EXTRA CHARGE. Bill
Fish, Wahoo, Tuna, Mahi-Mahi and more. Valid passport or proof of U.S.
citizenship is required.
***ALL NON FISHERMAN PAY $1000.00 FOR A THREE OR FOUR DAY FISHING
TRIP, DOUBLE OCCUPANCY WHEN ACCOMPANYING A FISHERMAN.
Rates are ALL per person and subject to
change without notice.
Tips:
vary depending on service and knowledge. The average tip for the
entire house staff: chef, bartender and housekeeping is $21.00 per day
per person.

•Transportation to/from San Jose; ground transfers; or hotel in San
Jose.
•Accompanying fisherman in the boat. |
Itinerary:
Upon your arrival in San Jose, you will be met at the airport by an
English speaking representative and escorted to your hotel.
Early the next morning you will be taken to the airport for the
30-minute flight to the lodge. You will begin fishing by 8 a.m. that
morning.
The following days being early. You will be awakened at 5:00 am for
breakfast at 5:30. Your guides will be waiting for you at your boat.
You may leave as soon as you are ready. You will return at 11:00 am
for lunch at noon followed by a siesta until 1:30 p.m.
You will fish the afternoon until 5:00 p.m.; dinner will be served at
6:30 p.m.
On your final day at the lodge You will follow the same morning
schedule, but instead of leaving to fish you will be transported to the
airport to catch your flight back to San Jose.Climate:
Temperature average 80oF year round, and seldom goes above the mid
80’s. Showers may occur any time. Bring rain gear. Insects are not a
problem.
Clothing:
Lightweight shorts and shirts, rubber soled shoes and wide brim hat.
For those sensitive to the sun consider lightweight long pants and
long sleeve shirts.
DAILY LAUNDRY SERVICE INCLUDED AT NO CHARGE.
Baggage:
The charter flight has limited space so we request that you bring
one small piece of luggage.
(Weight limit 25 Lb. Per person. Weight limits are strictly enforced).
Gratuities: We suggest you use your own
discretion with the guides.
