Mexico Dove hunting in El Fuerte, Sinaloa is one of the most exciting hunting
experiences one can have. Both mourning dove and whitewings are present in large
numbers. Local farmers plant milo and sesame seeds for use as pasture or for
harvest. Both of these grains are part of the preferred diet of the dove. Soon
after the first cool weather sets in up north, the doves migrate to Mexico for
their winter stay. The numbers are incredible. Many hunters do not count
singles, finding it much easier to only count their double kills.
An experienced guide is provided for each group of hunters, and each hunter has
his own bird boy. A cooler is sent along with each hunter for refreshments.
Hunters wishing to take birds home may do so. For a minor charge, your bird boys
will clean and pack your birds for shipment. We can freeze your birds for easy
transport. If you wish to take your birds home, you should bring a cooler with
you or you can purchase one locally. Please note that Styrofoam coolers are not
allowed for transport on air carriers.
While participating in your Mexico Dove hunt, you will be staying at the Lake
Dominquez Lodge in downtown El Fuerte. The lodge is very comfortable in a garden
setting. All your meals are prepared at the lodge by the owner and hostess. The
meals consist of a variety of American and Mexican dishes. Purified water is
utilized for cooking and is always available to the guests.
Mexico Dove Hunting Day One
Upon your arrival into Los Mochis or El Fuerte airport, you will be met by a
company representative. From there, you will be taken to the Lake Dominguez
Lodge in El Fuerte.
Mexico Dove Hunting Days Two through Four
Rise early in the morning and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the Lodge. Your guide
and bird boy will be waiting and you will be taken to the milo fields for your
morning hunt. Depending on the action, you will pack up around 11:00 and return
to the lodge. After a good lunch and a short rest, you will proceed to one of
the many retention basins for your afternoon hunt. After your hunt, you will
return to the lodge where your bird boys will clean and freeze your birds for
you to take home while you enjoy the evening meal and a few beers or margaritas.
After your last day of hunting, you will board one of our air-conditioned vans
for transportation to Lake Huites. Upon arrival, supper will be awaiting you.
Mexico Bass Fishing Days Five through Seven
Wake early to a freshly-brewed cup of Mexican coffee. After a hearty breakfast,
you will be assigned a guide and board a boat for departure at first light.
Enjoy the great topwater action the morning has to offer, then switch over to
crank baits as the top water drops off.
You will return to the Lodge for lunch and a short break. You will then once
again head out to one of the many coves Lake Huites is famous for. You will
return to the lodge where you can sit and sip a frozen margarita or beverage of
your choice while swapping the day’s stories with the other anglers.
Dinner is served at about 7:30 p.m. Most anglers call it an early night in order
to get a good rest for the next day’s action.
Day Eight
After breakfast, you will say good-bye to the staff and once again board our
vans for transportation to the El Fuerte or Los Mochis Airport.

Deposit
A deposit of $1,000.00 USD is required with your reservation. The balance is due
30 days prior to arrival.
Schedules
Schedules are planned for arrival on Wednesdays with departure the following
Wednesday, or Saturday arrival with departure the next Saturday.
Note
Hunting licenses and gun permissions must be processed at least 30 days in
advance and preferably 60. Hunting licenses are processed in Mexico while gun
permissions are processed in the US through an online service. Fishing licenses
are included.

The price is $400 per day for fishing and $500 per day for hunting.
