Lake Baccarac
Trophy Fishing par excellence
There have been a number of Mexico bass fishing lakes to come and go
over the years. But one that continues to amaze anglers with its longevity
of life and tremendous fishing reports is 30,000-acre Lake Baccarac. Like
the Energizer bunny, Lake Baccarac just keeps going, going and going.
Lake
Baccarac was stocked in 1978 with a strain of Florida large mouth bass. The
first fishing season was beyond most anglers dreams and the lake has been
improving every year. The lake is approximately 25 miles long and 5 miles
wide, nestled among green-forested mountain peaks. The New Lake Baccarac
Lodge is located on the waters edge of Lake Baccarac. Guest relax in air
conditioning rooms surrounding a central court yard with a charming patio
area where they gather for margaritas after a successful day of fishing. All
rooms have hot and cold running water and good showers along with ice,
purified water, and setups for your convenience. Brand new 18 foot
Crestliners with swivel seats, 60 hp motors, front and rear trolling motors
and depth finders will offer an excellent fleet of boats for anglers going
to Lake Baccarac Lodge.

Andrea Harmon
Located in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, Lake Baccarac in 1978 was
stocked with Florida-strain largemouth's and it’s been producing great Mexico
bass fishing reports ever since. It started out as an ideal hotspot for catching
numbers of quality bass, but as fishing reports indicate, over the last decade
has evolved into one of the top spots in the world for lunkers in excess of 10
pounds.
With a lake record 19.10 pounder caught in 1993 and another
19-pounder landed in 1994, many view Lake Baccarac a viable candidate to
produce the new world record largemouth. It’s certainly got the forage base
to grow one. The lake is full of great structure, too. There are nearly 300
rocky points, numerous deep coves and literally dozens of main lake humps
worthy of a cast or two when you are Mexico bass fishing on Lake Baccarac.
